Our first lesson will be on page 3 and we'll limit it to the Section titled, "What I was." There are only 6 "fill in the blanks" which should less than 5 minutes to figure out (10 minutes for Jennifer). I recommend focusing on one verse per day, and read not only the specific verse, but the entire corresponding chapter. Meaning, the first reference is Ephesians 2:1 "I was spiritually DEAD in trespasses and sins." Focus not only on Eph 2:1, but also read all of Ephesians Chapter 2 to gain context.
We will open up blog discussion for this section (What I Was) between Sunday, 2 Jan thru Sunday, 9 Jan. Ready, go!

Bible Study Introduction - Road Map
Hello everyone. The "Blog" Bible Study is an idea to continue the wonderful Bible Studies that Brooke and I shared with my parents and Jennifer while we were stationed in the States. Due to the time difference between CONUS and Germany, conducting Bible Studies via phone is not feasible. With a Blog format, each person can communicate at their convenience and we can also expand the audience (hello, Al, Pat, and Matt!).
For the study, we will use the spiral bound notebook titled, "The ABC's of Christian Growth" that I mailed to each of you. I will specify the sections we will cover for each week. The "study period" for each section will run Sunday to Sunday. Focus your comments on what you learned from the material, what the Lord pressed on your heart, and any questions/points of clarification you have to ask.
The purpose of this study is to GET INTO THE WORD OF GOD. The Word of God cannot be improved upon. Brooke and I pray this study is a blessing to all and we look forward to God's Word strengthening our entire family. May our study give praise and honor to Christ.
